What is QPR?

QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer — the 3 simple steps anyone can learn to help prevent a suicide attempt. In just one hour, participants learn how to intervene with an individual at-risk, persuade them to get help, and guide them to the appropriate resources.

QPR teaches people without professional mental health backgrounds to recognize the signs that someone may be considering suicide, establish a dialogue, and guide the person to seek professional help. It can be a critical tool to save lives.
